What Is All-on-4 or All-on-6?
When most or all teeth in a jaw are missing, the traditional solution was a removable denture — a set of artificial teeth you take out at night. Dentures work, but they have limitations: they can slip, they don’t feel natural, and over time the jaw bone underneath continues to shrink because there are no roots stimulating it.
All-on-4 and All-on-6 are different. Instead of a removable denture, a full arch of teeth (all upper or all lower) is secured permanently onto just 4 or 6 implants placed in the jawbone.
The result: a full set of teeth that is fixed in place, doesn’t move, and feels close to natural teeth. You brush them, eat with them, and smile with them — just like real teeth.
What Is the Difference Between All-on-4 and All-on-6?
All-on-4 uses four implants per arch. It’s often possible even in patients who have experienced significant bone loss, because two of the four implants are placed at an angle to maximize the available bone.
All-on-6 uses six implants per arch. It provides slightly more support and stability, making it ideal for patients with good bone volume or those who want the maximum strength for their restoration.
Which option is right for you depends on the condition of your jawbone, which we assess with a 3D CBCT X-ray during your consultation.

The Timeline
All-on-4 and All-on-6 treatments involve surgery followed by a healing period of 3 to 6 months. During this healing period, you’ll have temporary teeth placed so you’re never without a smile. Final permanent teeth are fitted once the implants have fully integrated with the bone.
